The staff moved me, per my request, to a different room with improved garden views. the new room was magnificent. i was impressed with chris, the doorman. He gave a historical hotel tour. furthermore, the grounds were wonderful and very well kept.
i found that my room furnishings felt slightly dated.

fine groundsmagical landscapinglovely staff
the grounds are fine! the formal gardens are magical, and the landscaping is a sight to behold. breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were very lovely. the wine waiter at dinner was a real character. i felt completely transported to another world!
the wifi signal was a little weak in certain areas.

I enjoyed the grand atmosphere, especially the main house with its high ceilings. the annex provided sophisticated rooms similar to a modern hotel. the breakfast had many choices and great options. i also liked the bike borrowing service. I explored the estate's natural scenery on two wheels.
during my stay , i observed that some areas showed a need for refurbishment, though this did not detract significantly from the overall experience.

the grounds were beautiful to walk around! i found the golf course to be nice. the interior was elegant and created a pleasant atmosphere. the staff were very friendly, though i did notice a few issues
I found the room to be somewhat dated. i requested a balcony, and it was granted though the only window was the door. the balcony had no chairs provided, though i moved one from inside. the breakfast service felt rushed. I wanted a more relaxed experience

The spa facilities were under repair. All pools and hot tubs were closed. i was informed a swimming pool was available at warren weir, but it was a walk from the main building. the room felt dated. It resembled the 1990s in style. i think a refurbishment would freshen it up.
